What is an AAU Program?
- AAU stands for Atlantic Athletic Union. An AAU Program is a regional travel team that travels (Depending on the team) either around their area or around the country. Generally the better the team the longer distance they travel for superior competition. Practices and Prices varydepending on the program.

Edge Athletics: The Edge program specializes in Individual basektball skill development. With an exellent group of High School coaches you will not encounter biased playing time decisions due to Parent coaches. Edge Athletics Is usually not one of the most competitive teams in big tournaments but it is a great program to improve your fundamental skills as a player! |

Westchester Hawks: The Hawks program is a very big name in AAU in the Hudson Valley. However the program can be very inconsistant. There are many Westchester Hawks teams that are very well coached and have great talent. Howver there are also several Hawks teams that do not have the greatest coachs and the the talent isn't there. Depending on the team the Westchester Hawks can be a great program. |

Albany City Rocks: highly competitive and nationally ranked AAU team. They travel across the nation and play other top ranked teams. The exposure of the Albany City Rocks to coaches is also excellent. The teams are very hard to make and the traveling is intense but the City Rocks are a sucessfull program. |

The Hudson Valley Inspiration is a girls 14U AAU basketball club based in Washingtonville, NY. 2008 is the first year for the Inspiration (utilizing guidance from the former Hudson Valley Pride club). The Inspiration is a performance team and 2008 tryouts are being held on March 8 and March 15. |

Hudson Valley Knights: a non-profit oranization that allows the youth of the mid-hudson valley to play competitive amature basketball. |
